According to the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) Australia, by the year 2035, Australia will be facing a timber deficit of 250,000 house frames. This represents a major sovereign capability gap in our national timber production, and a plan is urgently needed to grow/increase our timber plantation estate.

It is crucial that the federal and state governments deliver policies to urgently drive new production tree plantings.

A landmark new report has been developed and released by Master Builders Australia (MBA) and the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) outlining the current situation and forecasts for the shortage in timber supply.
